all the pet store items are only 1 karma a piece. so there's really no reason not to snag something. i just started a BM run and it allowed me to use the hat a snagged. i think they added this since your HC rewards now drop from the NS. So you won't be using them on the following run anymore

To answer tyred's question; no, it is not retroactive. i had something like 298 karma when i ascended, but i burnt every instant karma i had before i ascended. I just wish the reward for a bees hates me run were better...

depending on whether you want the cudgel and shield or the scythe... the rusty components will run around 100k at current mall prices, but that's everything all at once. After that a nodule for each piece, and those go for about 200k each.

Head: Rusty diving helmet > slime covered helmet > corrosive cowl

Hand: Rusty grave robbing shovel > slime covered shovel > villainous scythe (2h)

Hand: rusty piece of rebar > slime covered club > pernicious cudgel
off-hand: rusty old lantern > slime covered lantern > grisly shield

Pants: rusty metal greaves > slime covered greaves > corroded breaches

Accessory: rusty compass > slime covered compass > malevolent medallion

Accessory: rusty chain necklace > slime covered necklace > baneful bandolier

@gph: if you have a crap ton of torpedoes... you can unload 100 a turn for 135-165 skellie kills. I put all mine up for sale at 5k. but they're currently sitting above 6. So if you can't get enough commendations to buy one... you may be able to raise the meat for one with roughly 330 torpedos. I've seen them sell for anywhere between 2-4 mil.

Congrats! that one is really time consuming <_< Are you going straight into Vahalla? I was thinking of doing some clan dungeons geared towards those of the clan that haven't done one and were interested (see Slime Tube in the clan sub-forum)

@tyred: a black cat run isn't really all that difficult just really frustrating since it randomly steals stat gains and meat/item drops at the end of combat. I did mine on my first BM run because i didnt want to not use a clover every time i wanted to do one :-P I guess since i'm not really a speed runner and even a soft core run takes me a month... i don't really see much of a difference :-p

I've been thinking about opening the slime tube to all for a run. There's been some interest amongst the clan. It would be a chance for others to get some slime covered gear if they're interested :p just a heads up so that those interested can post here and not miss out due to an early ascension

I have a fax machine that i bought during crimbo. I'll put that up as soon as i log in. drill was this weekend and we were out in the field... otherwise i would've done it already :-p

...and fax machine has been installed i think that the clan looking class would be a nice addition, if we pass on the pool table. You can sell your daily drink me potion or work the little quest after freeing ralph each run. (since it requires multiple runs to complete without trading) I went and got myself a VIP key today and set it so that initiates CANNOT draw 0 karma items from the stash. Don't want some stranger coming in and snagging those or our ppl on the whitelist. I've got about 16 mil if we need to pool our meat together

Edit:  I almost forgot to mention the mad hatter's daily buff, and to say that i have 0 crimboughs

actually, it was very enterable :-P this was the 4th time the pickle factory has appeared on that date. And only the first time was it completely impossible to adv there. One year you could only get delicious salads, but you could still adv there and i was well aware of the date :-p it was one of the reasons i saved up 200 adv for april's fools fun in KoL (:
