Welcome aboard!  While I don't play tinywarz myself, i'm sure that those who do will benefit from more guides :-)

If you ever want to try out a new game i recommend giving Kingdom of Loathing a shot :-p
And again, welcome to the CC

So i'm not sure if this is just me, but i think the shout box may be broken again :-p I can see it on the index page, but it's always empty and i can't post a shout. More exactly, I can type in what I want to shout, but when i press enter... nada. I wasn't sure if it was just me or if i was just doing something wrong... probably the latter, but i thought you would like to know just in case it's not a singular case :)
And if you already knew about this I apologize for bugging you about it :-p

yeah, rather glad that i had banked my turns unintentionaly and had 200 going into this :-) by the time this is over i may have spent over 400 turns in one day :-O I'd also recommend holding onto that booze or maybe stocking up on some while the prices are low because it's going to be years before this happens again if it ever does ;-) So that booze is going to fetch a pretty penny in the distant future.

am i the only one who hasn't tried to beat the basement yet (: congrats, i doubt that i have the patience to muscle through fernswarthy's :p

@Skeeter - if you can get your moxie over 300 or so you'll have no problem exploring hoboworld, sauceror potions are pretty cheap and should be able to help out until you get some of the nice hobo loot. (i.e. serum of sarcasm - moxie +100%) I also recommend trying out the slime tube. just remember to wipe the slime effect off after a few turns, or it will hit so hard that it will do thousands of point of damage :-p

speaking of hobopolis, i need to know who wants what drop :-p i'm not going to be the one to decide who gets the beard. Or we could try and sell it, but i'm not sure if hobopolis works the same way as the tube when it comes to selling loot.

im going to take a stab in the dark and guess... a hypnodisk! :-P just out of curiosity, did you do the hippy side first because there's an adv on the frat side that will adv the hippies once you've gotten them down low enough. i haven't tried for it myself but i remember quite a few ppl complaing when the quest first rolled out.

maybe next time :)

By completing a 100% Black Cat Bad Moon run, you have permanently unlocked the Bad Moon sign for your character.

ascension #4: 01/24/11  lvl: 13     Bad Moon  turns: 2,440 days: 29 :) not too shabby if i say so myself. i actually think that goes faster than HCO.

well, i've got my beard... so i'll let you 2 decide who gets this one, close it up, and clean out the sewers again :)

By the way, the CRIMBCo HQ has opened up shop in the mountains. There's some pretty nice skills for sale in the gift shop there.

So i finished my first HCO run. I was thinking of perming the first lvl saucecrafting skill, so i can create serums of sarcasm (which saved me a tremendous amount of time at the end there). I won't ascend until after the Crimbo season. For the next 6 runs, i'll be doing BM runs. By that point, i should have a pretty clear idea on how to ascend quickly and finish out the plexi set and stainless :)

Definitely was starting to wonder if i was going to be able to get out of HC before the actual crimbo event kicked off... and i did, barely :P

we really should try to coordinate the sewers just once and see how much easier it would be :P

just curious, but in order to make sure that everyone gets a uncle hobo drop, do you think that we should flood the sewers after defeating uncle hobo and distributing the loot, and open it right back up?

we only need 214 more hobo to hit 3000... I'm not sure how many scarehobos i've made, but i know i've made at least 10. So that should put us below 134 hobo left :) We should be looking at another run within around 24 hrs or so. Assuming we can get the loot divided out quickly :P

This thread is to discuss this year's Crimbo event.

So far there's been an addition to hobopolis, Elf Alley. It acts just like any other hobo zone, and has approximately 500 hobelves there. I'm not sure if this is just for the Crimbo season or what, but we've cleared every zone on this run except the town square. Just so you all know... If we can finish up this current hobo run, we can re-open hobopolis and have another go at Elf Alley. We need to drive off around 1112 hobos to finish this up. I would like to get everyone a piece of Uncle Hobo's loot, since it can be zapped into his beard and grant 6 adv at rollover and 9 in Dec. :)

ouch...that's never an enjoyable occurance. there's always the barrels and stat work out spots... as for the skeletons, super excited! I wonder if they'll have five tomorrow. That seems to be the trend... add one each day and require even more +ML to get them. It certainly makes farming for chips a bit easier when there's a chance that they'll drop four today as opposed to the one chip drop at the start :)  Also, I recommend using slimy sweetbreads and the tube booze to easily reach +50 ML and i'm sure they're cheap if you don't have any at the moment. It keeps your gear slots open for the +item stuffs :-p Unless you have a better method... which i would be happy to utilize (:
