I have a question for you, for having done a black cat run... Does that permanent unlock really mean anything to you, or was it just the excitement of having completed a black cat run?

I figure it is easy enough to get into a Badmoon run, anyway.

And Badmoon sucks.

Like, super hard. I hate it.

Congrats! that one is really time consuming <_< Are you going straight into Vahalla? I was thinking of doing some clan dungeons geared towards those of the clan that haven't done one and were interested :) (see Slime Tube in the clan sub-forum)

@tyred: a black cat run isn't really all that difficult just really frustrating since it randomly steals stat gains and meat/item drops at the end of combat. I did mine on my first BM run because i didnt want to not use a clover every time i wanted to do one :-P I guess since i'm not really a speed runner and even a soft core run takes me a month... i don't really see much of a difference :-p

So... this is what happens when you go on a cream pie craze and hop on chat :p
[clan]Galeesa: please take those pants off :p
[clan] HamsterishOne: ...really or in game :P
[clan] Galeesa: really
[clan] Galeesa: please take it off
[clan] Chrono64: okay
[clan] Chrono64: I took down the pants, yet it continues...
[clan] Galeesa: hehe
[clan] Galeesa: and he's just mad that he's still pulling cream out his nose :-p
[clan] Chrono64: I thought I got rid beyond the damn pants
[clan] Chrono64: XD
[clan] Chrono64: just wipe it along
[clan] Galeesa: ROFLMFAO!!!
[clan] HamsterishOne: ...I don't want to know why you just yelled out that you'd got 'it' off do I?
[clan] Chrono64: you'll just have sticky hands throughout one adventure

It's a bit of both. I took on one of the longest challenges and completed it, yes, but also, it does have value beyond that. I plan on getting the full Brimstone set, but I don't want to do 6 bad moon runs in a row, and playing HC cloverless is annoying. Also, if Jick ever adds BM-specific trophies even after I get the gear, I can now switch whenever.

As Galeesa said, it can be frustrating and time-consuming, but in most cases, it's not actually all that difficult, as long as you do it as a Seal Clubber, which depends on items and skills so rarely that the cat can't interfere much. The only big issue I had was with the sorceress (the cat and sorc both blocking skills SUCKS), but by going out of my way to do things like the blackberry exchange, I *was* able to kill her at level 13... and yes, I forgot to discard my instant karma. Again. :P

Unfortunately, black cat is the only challenge in the entire game that does NOT end when you break the prism, so I had to insta-ascend. I'm starting my next run with a clubber and a volleyball to get back up there quickly, however, and I'm going to be dual wielding a brimstone club with a nemesis weapon, so this is probably going to be the shortest run I've done in a looooooooooooooooooooong time. I definitely want to join a clan dungeon run, just not with the cat. Hobo bosses with the cat blocking stuff fall firmly in the not a chance category.
