Finished my first hc run, didn't use any clovers so I could unlock Bad Moon.

Realise I need to do a 100% cat run to perm unlock Bad Moon.

*sigh*

*start Bad Moon run*

...

*realise Crimbo is around the corner*

...I'll probably drop Bad Moon tomorrow :P

I also overdrank as almost my first action in BM...things are going well :P

Would have finished my first HC run today if I wasn't a complete idiot <_<

Bumped into the bronze chef who needs leftovers of indeterminate origin which I didn't have, no big deal still had a tonne of adventures left.

About 70 adventures later I was tearing my hear out at the fact I hadn't even encountered the monster who dropped it yet!

...At which point I notice that it drops in the Haunted Kitchen, not the Haunted Pantry.

Aargh :P

I'm still of the opinion it would be worth waiting a few weeks to see if IC gets updated for V1 so we don't have to do this multiple times.

But you're the one who's going to be putting in the effort and updating the server so if you wanna go for it don't let me stop you :P

I've taken a quick inventory of my stuff.

I have way more coal than I realised :P

Personally I'm pro waiting as I imagine it'll only be a few weeks until the mods manage to catch up (assuming we just want to use IC basic rather than the extra ones we were discussing).

That way we wouldn't have the problem of all the areas we'd previously explored not having the IC ores in.

Of course I've barely played minecraft for the past month or so, so its not as hard for me to resist playing for another couple of weeks :P If the people who've been playing on a more regular basis wanna go ahead with the new world thats fine by me too. If the plan is for us to carry over resources just give me a heads up before the world goes kaput so I can do an inventory of what I've got.

Oh hell yeah :D

Looks like theres a lot of changes what with all the enchanting and potions and stuff. Guess we'll be holding off restarting for a bit while everyone tries to update mods :P

Lobbying is a (potentially highly biased and unfair, admittedly) part of the democratic process.

You can't tell an organisation they can't lobby for the status quo in school meals if you're going to allow the Institute of Medicine, the Center for Science in the Public Interest and Mission: Readiness to lobby for improving school meals.

Obviously the issue is that there need to be strict regulations to ensure transparency so that when the line and been crossed and actual bribery is now taking place action can be taken.

Sort of off topic but... We had quite a scandal in the UK recently as our politicians can claim expenses for things like second homes to allow them to live in their constituency and travel to London for parliment. Personally I don't know why the goverment doesn't just buy a block of flats in London for them to use but whatever. Anyway it turned out that a lot of the politicians had been *gasp* massively cheating the system. Click for the wiki article if you care :P. Obviously the system was broken and the reason this was allowed to happen was because there wasn't anywhere near the level of transparency that would allow the public to scrutinise the process.

I think I'll fall back on my favourite Winston Churchill quote:

Quote
Many forms of Government have been tried and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.

Rocket Science and Adv Generators look awesome to me.

Do we know which of these are actually compatible with multiplayer yet? For instance I don't think rocket science is unfortunately :(

I personally don't see that the charging bench and iron chests mods are worth the chance that they'll cause hassle as they don't seem to do that much to me. Obviously I'm not the one they'll be causing hassle to though so if you think they're worth it I'm happy to go along with that.

Obviously I'm pro upgrading if it'll fix crashes and solar panel lag. Massive amounts of solar panels would amusingly be less necessary with some of those mods of course.

All the extra stuff doesn't stop you doing that.

It just means there are other things to do as well :P

I've been holding off doing stuff as I assume the updates will require another server reset. Do we have any sort of schedule for this or is it just wait and see?

Does anybody else not understand what the point of construction foam is?

It seems quite heavy of the resource side. I assume its difficult to destory and can be coloured? Thats the only reason I can think that you'd want to bother with the stuff.

But anyways if we think upgrading will stop the server crashes then I am pro upgrading :P

That's probably why Trerro helpfully included a link to all the stuff you need to install the version that our server is running in his post on how to install IC :P

Trerro, just a head up - I already went through another run and I've just killed almost all of the skeletons, zombies and ghosts in the one I've just opened up.

So basically I need you to spend at least one turn in the dungeon so I can actually distribute stuff to you :P

As a side note we've done three runs now with no staff drop so fingers crossed for this run :D

Edit - Another run finished, I've got the full outfit now and Trerro got his skill tome. I've still got like 45 of the guides. Does anyone want to do another run or shall I just sell them?

And still no staff :(

So I (finally!) found some diamonds.

Got excited that I could build an MFE for the first time.

Ran back to my house.

Built one up.

Set about rejigging my solar array so I would be able to add more solar panels.

Hook up the MFE and the solar panels.

Immediately blow up my macerator and extractor with a stack of coal dust and rubber in respectively.

...

Rage quit :P

Edit - aaaah so annoyed at myself right now. Misjudged a jump from a height into some water and died, all my equipment fell into deep water. Reclaimed my batpack and bronze sword but lost my nano boots and electric wrench. Carried on searching because I really didnt want to lose those. Accidentally drowned and couldn't find my bat pack and bronze sword again <_< grrrr
