Well, at least you're getting through it!

And yes, as you ascend, you will find there are some VERY good skills to have. A few years ago they polled some of the top players to see what they suggested for skills for ascending purposes only. And those top players were nearly unanimous when they said the crafting skills were the top ones to get.

After the crafting skills, it is worthwhile to get the familiar skills, some passives, then fighting skills. But the crafting ones should be a priority for any ascender. HC, SC, BM... andy of them will require you to make your own food and booze at some point.

Anyway, congratulations on getting as far as you have with as few skills as you have. One of these days I am going to log back on and get to level 30 and then ascend and dive into one of those runs. Maybe.

My bad: it was Thrust-Smack, an obsoleted SC skill, not LTS.

I should know more of these than I do, but to get us started:

Q07: Fake fake fake vomit
Q09: Zapping any kind of yo-yo into an owl
Q10: Emo roe (April Fool's Day familiar)
Q16: Taco Cat?
Q21: Whatever that old SC skill was: Lunging Thrust-Smack?
Q26: The dude who discovered Ag'kothyx (or whatever the hell that fruity-drink demon's name is)
Q27: Meteor crash site

The others I would have to take a crack at the wiki...

I'll pass on this go-round. I didn't participate much.

Just wanted to brag: 31 turns to get through the tunnels. I like having most of the hobo codes.

I like how with paths you can earn more karma.

Has anyone ascended since then? Is it retroactive? I'd like to see how my HCO and HCB runs added up on the karma if they do...

Vacation pretty much owned me getting anything in this event.

C'est la vie.

I have a question for you, for having done a black cat run... Does that permanent unlock really mean anything to you, or was it just the excitement of having completed a black cat run?

I figure it is easy enough to get into a Badmoon run, anyway.

And Badmoon sucks.

Like, super hard. I hate it.

I wouldn't worry about the tree. It doesn't look like it is exceptionally worthwhile for the 30 million it would be, anyway. Are those gifts worth it? I doubt it.

You've got a good set so far. Getting the +MP skill and the +HP skill and the Wisdom of the Tortoise skill will help with the basement tremendously.

I'm currently sitting on about 45 mill in cash if we desperately need one of the purchasable items.

PM me in-game.

How much cash have you got? If not much, then I would suggest just banking on skills for a little while. At the very least, get the level 5 skills and level 15 skills for most of the classes (sauce, pasta, drinks, crafting) to make things go a whole hell of a lot easier.

Then basementing becomes a lot more fun, because you're not sinking about 3 million or more to a single mind-numbing run.

I don't need the beard. I'm not adventure happy like the rest of you. Give it to GPH (who is a n00b in RONIN right now).

The only thing I want is the Hodg pants, because I do not need any more resistance modifiers I can beat the basement with what I have.
