CC General Discussion / Tree of Savior
« on: November 14, 2014, 09:03:41 pm »
Announced in 2011 under the codename Project R1, Tree of Savior is developed by the original team that developed Ragnarok Online.

http://treeofsavior.wikia.com/wiki/Tree_of_Savior (This wiki also has every information about the game revealed by the developers so far. More information will surely come after its official launch.)

Unlike RO, moving around in TOS is keyboard-based. Attacks and support skills have distinct areas of effect and there's no targeting (unless you're an Archer class).

They recently announced the Korean publisher for TOS, so an international CBT is predicted to be in either 1 or 2 years from now.

We're not sure if there will be a guild system in the game, so if we do establish a guildbase in TOS, communications will be mostly external from the game.

Ragnarok Online 2 / Guild House Lottery

Yay, paying buttloads of zeny for a CHANCE at a 30-day guild house.  ::)

But hey! It comes with a dungeon! (That should've been with a WoE castle, not a guild house...)

Are we honestly never going to see Geffen, Comodo, and Aldebaran? :( Not even Umbala?

Ragnarok Online 2 / New Server: Freyja
« on: October 31, 2014, 09:31:35 pm »
So right after transferring seaRO2 accounts to iRO2, the iRO2 team decided that another server was needed.  :-\

http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/162552-freyja-server/

Odin server isn't even halfway full, so I don't know why they feel the need to open a brand new server when Odin's population isn't all that bad.

On top of that, they wiped everyone's event items from their Temp Storage because of the new server.

http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/162623-clear-out-your-gift-storage/

I honestly don't know what's going through their minds. It's like they're trying to kill off the rest of the playerbase or something. If they didn't want to host iRO2, then they should've just told GRAVITY instead of opening the server for the purpose of destroying whatever playerbase gets established.

Ragnarok Online 2 / seaRO2 Closing Down
« on: October 07, 2014, 07:36:01 pm »
And it was decided that they would allow their players to transfer to iRO2. However, it's a long-known issue that a lot of duping and exploits have occurred on their server, inflating their economy to be just as bad as iRO1.

Threads popped up on WarpPortal discussing on how to handle the situation became heated when seaRO2 players objected to having their "hard-earned" items and inflated zeny be restricted.

http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/160263-asiasoft-passes-ragnarok-online-2-to-warpportal/

http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/160306-sea-merger-feedback/

And now WarpPortal has made the decision to allow seaRO2 players to carry over 1 million zeny PER ACCOUNT.

http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/161911-about-the-zeny-items-of-sea-players/

Way to kill off the more balanced iRO2 economy and make it harder for newer players to break in.

Order of Chaos (Guild, iRO) / Guild Revival?
« on: September 26, 2014, 10:21:21 pm »
We've gotten a lot of new updates to iRO and the 160 level-cap is incoming for our server. That said, is anyone coming back to try out the new Glast Heim instance or the Heroes Trail instances?

I'm kind of hesitant to recruit people since I lack the ability to give them guild titles. Also, Mwrip has been MIA from xFire for a while now. Anyone know what happened to him? :3

Ragnarok Online 2 / RO2 Quests on Ragnarok Wiki
« on: September 22, 2014, 04:59:06 am »
I just finished adding all 1,088 pre-AOV Norman quests on the Ragnarok Wiki. So if you're still avoiding RO2 like the plague, but still curious about the story, you can read through the entire main questline right on the Wiki!

No Noel or newer quests because I'm tired and don't feel like adding them myself.

Happy reading!

Ragnarok Online / Heroes Trail Part 1 Update and Shadow Gears
« on: August 21, 2014, 10:01:08 pm »
The new instances are accessible from the Midgard Camp in the Ash Vacuum.

http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/158589-new-instances-kickstart-guideinfo/

Face Worm instance has you fighting the monsters from the manhwa. Face Worm Queen will shed its skin as its HP is depleted. Each time it sheds its skin, its element changes for an extra challenge. Reward is a neat dagger.

http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/158074-queen-faceworm-leg2/

iRO will also be getting Shadow Gears, which are an extra set of gears you wear alongside your base gears.

http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/158545-event-shadow-gear-guide/

Costume tab on the equipment window is now Special Equipment tab and that is where all Costumes and Shadow Gear equips are to be placed. Shadow Gears are meant to be sold in the Kafra Shop, but iRO is currently having a special event in which they drop from special Thief Bugs all over the world. If you guys don't want to pay for the gears, log on and hunt those bugs before it's too late!

1. Kill event monsters.
2. Collect event items from event monsters.
3. Turn in event items for event points.
4. Get enchantable Red Beret [1] for 2000 event points.

Enchants are 200 event points PER ENCHANT for up to 3 enchants. (600 event points total) Magical Stone can be used to reset enchants if you get enchants you don't want.

Off Topic / VOCALOID
« on: June 11, 2014, 07:29:46 am »
This thread is for those of you part of the underground world of VOCALOID, be you fan or producer.

VOCALOID is a series of computer programs that synthesize human voices into singers. First released in 2004, the very first VOCALOID programs were English, followed by Japanese. It did not become popular until the release of Hatsune Miku, a Japanese VOCALOID. It has a huge art following with hundreds of amateur composers and lyricists writing music for VOCALOIDs as well as millions of fanart. In 2010, the first VOCALOID concert featuring Miku was held and VOCALOID began entering mainstream media with support from Lady Gaga.

I first heard of VOCALOID at Anime Expo 2008, but never really looked into it until 2010. The very first VOCALOID concert in the states was held at Anime Expo 2011. I was lucky enough to get a seat 10 rows from the stage. Even though the quality was far below that of the Japan concerts, I still enjoyed it nonetheless. *waves around Len cell phone strap souvenir*

Obviously, my top favorite VOCALOID is Len, followed by KAITO. Not too fond of Miku, but a lot of songs made for her are good. Luo Tianyi from China is also starting to grow on me, but the Chinese fanbase hasn't really impressed me with their original music. I do like me some GUMI and Luka with some Rin. Favorite English VOCALOIDs so far are YOHIOloid followed by Big Al, although Oliver and Sonika are good, too.

Favorite UTAU (fanmade VOCALOID) thus far is Namine Ritsu. I don't know why, but I love her voice for some reason. Also starting to like Kasane Teto a little more.

Ragnarok Online / Bounty Boards
« on: June 10, 2014, 08:44:42 am »
Earlier this year, I pitched the idea of Bounty Boards to Oda and Campitor (current iRO CMs). Bounty Boards are basically what I think the Eden Group quests should've been. The boards are also meant to replace Gramps TIs since Gramps has unwittingly encouraged KSing and overall bad leveling behavior in the iRO community since its inception.

Here's the feedback thread I started in the forums: http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/152853-bounty-boards-feedback/

So far, the reception has been pretty positive. There's only one Bounty Board available at the moment (Juno) so if any of you guys want to test that out on a Level 70+ character, that'd be great. :)

I've already compiled a list of monsters for the other Bounty Boards on page 3 of the thread if you guys want to see what could be in store once the system is expanded. There would be 2 different Bounty Board systems: High Level Bounty Boards (70+) and Low Level Bounty Boards (69 and under).

In addition, I've also pitched the idea of making it so each Bounty Board lists all the monster suggestions, but players can only earn EMBs if they pick 4 or more.

4 monster kills = 1 EMB
5 monster kills = 2 EMBs
6 monster kills = 3 EMBs
Etc.

According to Oda, it would be possible to make it so each Bounty Board would include ALL of the monster suggestions I've compiled for each particular board and have it so players can pick and choose which ones they want to do. However, he said it'll be complicated so expect a few bugs should that get implemented.

Ragnarok Online / Glast Heim Memorial Instance and WoE:TE Update
« on: May 29, 2014, 09:24:14 pm »
After 2 long years of waiting, iRO is finally getting the Glast Heim Memorial instance and War of Emperium: Training Edition updates!

More information here.

The updates are currently on Sakray server for testing. Testers should report any and all bugs to this thread: http://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/152942-sakray-woe-te-and-glast-heim-instance-bug-report-thread/

War of Emperium: Training Edition is only open to pre-Renewal job classes. That means no 3rd Classes and no Kagerou/Oboro and Rebel job classes are allowed to participate.

Guilds with 3rd Class guildleaders can still participate, but guildleaders will not have access to Recall. Since Mwrip is a 3rd Class, we can either create an alt OOC guild for WoE:TE or we can just use RaidCall as our substitute "Recall." Up to you guys. :3 I'd prefer to just use the RaidCall instead (or whatever external program Trerro wants to use).

Off Topic / Raptr
« on: May 22, 2014, 06:58:45 am »
Raptr is pretty much like xFire except much better. You can log gametime, chat with friends, and earn reward points you can spend on neat gaming stuff like gaming peripherals or beta keys.

http://raptr.com/

You can transfer ALL your xFire and Steam hours to your Raptr account so you can earn some starter points to use. Raptr's Rewards system is how I was able to get myself this sweet Logitech headset. :D

In addition, if the Raptr client fails to log some of your hours, you can do manual logging to keep your gametime accurate.
