Tinywarz / Spreading the Holiday Cheer

So, i propose sorta a gift exchange sorta dealio in the faction.

How I'd like it to work, since secret santa is WAY too fail, how about this: Anyone wanting to join puts their name on to a list, and everyone on the list gets everyone else a cheapish (lets say 1-5TB/person) unit/mod/crew.. This is just for fun, and so people can get to know each-other a bit better in our cozy little faction, I personally will go a bit higher then 5TB for each person who joins as a little bonus for showing activity =)

So just reply here or mail me ingame if you want! =)!

Tinywarz / Contest: Least Useful unit possiable

Alright, who can make the most useless unit? Winner gets a HMM, 2 var, 4 slot!

Rules:
-Unit must be over 1000 CE
-Unit must be 4 slotted, with all slots filled (no Tears or BE's to fill slots)

Unit will be judged by myself, based on how slow it is, how its range is, Damage, and how soft it is!

Prime example: A Cyclops with 0 max speed, 50 HP, and 7 cooldown from it's only weapon.

Only fee to enter is the cost of the unit/mods, send it to me and i'll give it a 1-10 on the great futility scale, 1 being a useful unit, 10 being something not worth the command it cost's to salvage it's ore.

Lets say.. Contest closes, Dec 25th at server midnight! good luck to all!

Alright, this seems to be a big issue i find, if you were to graph everyone's level on Dropshock, i believe there'd be a huge lull (not LOL) between levels 5 and 25, it seems people either decide leveling is too hard and bandits are too scarce (because they don't know the proper ways for looking for them) or they figure it out and have no trouble at all leveling to at least the low thirty's.

One main thing people do wrong when they first start, if their intent is to level their commander, is drop several units, Unless a crew has E/E, and 3 Merits, the commander WILL ONLY RECEIVE 10% EXP FROM ANYTHING THAT UNIT KILLS, and none if the unit is 25+ from commander, and bonuses from exp mods (CAS/CAM) do not transfer over.  Thus the best way to level, is to make a single unit, with decent guns/armor, and go "solo"

So, to locate bandits, the way frizz coded each planet it simple, each planet is set up in sets of 30x30 quadrants, in the middle 10x10 sector is where Bandits will re-spawn if there is NOTHING in the quadrant, so each planet looks something like this:

Let X represent an empty sector, and Y represent where bandits may spawn if all touching sectors are clear of any bandits/units/buildings/minerals

So to optimize your spawns, you want to run your commander along a line like this:

Hopping up and down either side of the red line so both the top and bottom spawns can see you and come after you. Also, if on a higher spawn planet like Konu, you may find it worthwhile to stay at a corner of 4 spawns like this:

Hopping around the corners until bandit bases/minerals spawn (as soon as all bandits in a quad are dead, if no minerals are there, or buildings, more bandits will spawn)

I have gone nearly half a cycle doing this when I'm lucky, and had a stack of 50+ bandits all around me when i was finished, it's i find, the quickest way to level if you're strong enough to kill quickly.

Another quick easy way to boost exp is with a CAS/CAM, 2 mods that do 50% and 25% exp respectively, off each kill made by unit it's equipped on.

Roughly the same tactic can be used in a Dragbase, Dragbases need a bit more command, but buildings give your units bonuses you wouldn't otherwise get, to help you killing, when you do this on Konu, build a base (guide on buildings coming soon), and drop it on Konu, if you look at the first map shown, Your base will replace one Y, so after dropping you'll be at this: (assuming you don't get a wall drop)

So you can then use drones/probes/simple units to drag bandits from all 8 surrounding spawn points to your base where your commander waits to kill them. i personally don't do this, but it's quite effective.

I believe that's all for your intro to leveling your commander, Soon we'll talk about your level points, and where they can go to best help you in your lower levels.

Hello once again, If you've adventured onto either Konu or Esika, You may have noticed little black objects scattered around the planet, and although they are small, they can cause you great profit, as well as great loss.  They are Relics, only found on Konu and Esika, they can be used to gain both yourself and the faction command and, thus, money.  Esika relics offer command for every turn they are in your posession, to capture them, you must first clear the quad (10x10 square) of all enemy bandits and enemy players, jump on the relic with any unit, that go to commands, there will be something at the top that says "capture relic". 

Once the relic is yours, it will have a green aura under it, just like the ones under your units and buildings.  If this is Esika, You're done, go about your business, keep leveling, and you will get command at the end of the cycle for every turn that passes with it in your possession! a couple turns is all it takes to cover your drop cost, so if you see one, grab it and keep going!

Konu, on the other hand, isn't quite so easy. the payout only goes to whoever is HOLDING the relic at the end of the cycle, so if you see a relic that is unguarded near the end of a cycle, grab it! just watch out and be careful, that can be very dangerous, as it is a bigger reward on Konu and people WILL guard it.  An easy way to protect a relic on Konu if it's yours is to drop a cloaked unit near it, as enemy's can't cap when you're in the quad, and you're invisible, so they just flat out can't cap, if they can't detect you.

like most other planets, those are both PVP enabled, so when exploring or looking for relics, be careful!

Hello once again; Many people look at starting this game as a bit overwhelming, so much to learn, so little help.  Basically, if you want to get far, you NEED TinyDayz. Alot of people will say "but i Don't want to pay for this game!"  Well short answer being, "don't"  For this guide I am going to go over the simple ways to get a solid start, and get paid without use of real money.

First, Although I personally have not looked too much into it, there is the "free TinyBucks" button near the top of the main page, not 100% sure how reliable it is, but it may be worth investigating, Remember, Your first payment is only 20TB (TinyBucks) you need to collect, you can ask Trerro or myself for the other 20.

Second, You can level crews to Elite/Elite level, this is quite painless on the training planets, if you're under level 20, each crew will sell for about 2TB, and you can grab more crews to train from your storage when you run out.

Third, You can just focus on leveling, get close to the level 15 cap, and once you have a solid grasp on the game, and battle, gear up and head to Esika, Hunting relics can be quite rewarding, 200 command almost if you hold onto the relics for the entire cycle, or more even, and at current market price 1TB = 55 Command or so.  So killing there, you're bound to E/E a couple crews in the process, and get some free command!

With those three options you're bound to raise the 20 TB needed to pay your account, once paid you will then receive 100cmd/day not 50, making everything a little easier

Hello all, and welcome to my first attempt at a newbie guide for Tinywarz (dropshock);  To get the ball rolling I will first talk about what threw me off the game, and nearly made me quit; Aiming and Different gun classes.

First Lets look at Aiming, there are many things that effect your hit %:

The first and most important is your move speed; Each unit has 2 speeds listed, Controlled, and Max, Max is how fast you can move in a single turn, while Controlled, is the most you *should* move if you want to hit things. If you're moving at max speed, You're near impossible to hit just about anything.  If you don't move at all you also gain a hit bonus.

Another thing to consider, although not nearly as important, is if the target has moved or not, If yes, You're less likely to hit it then if it hasn't

Smaller things also effect it, such as: Any skills you may have on you, or on the target; or if there is several units stacked on top each other.  Different guns also have different types of range to them, we will talk about that in a moment

Alrighty onto the three classes of gun, theirs Ballistic, Missile, and Energy, each act differently

First, the most straight forward one: Ballistic:

Simple enough, fire at any distance under the listed range, keep the ammo up with skills.  Very good to start with, but can be annoying without the use of Ammo Drop ability

Onto Missile:

This one you may look at the range and be like "meep? three?"  What you need to remember is that's the MINIMUM RANGE, if you try to fire at anything under that range you will have a very hard time (but not impossible time) hitting your target. The ideal range is between the listed, and double the listed, so in the case of a four range missile, your ideal range is 4-8, as close to eight as possible. Once again, keep ammo topped up or you wont be killing anything.

And Finally, my personal favorite; Energy:

This one may seem less appealing at first, because it has the weakest range of all the classes, but really, it can potentially do the most damage.  First lets look at the stats, the main thing to notice is the lack of an ammo icon, instead replaced by a lightning bolt.  Energy weapons do not run out of ammo, but they DO have cool-downs (that can be avoided with mods/skills) lets say a energy weapon has 10 damage, and 5 range. Energy weapons also give a bonus to damage depending on how far under the max range you shoot,  So if you hit a target at two range with said gun, you're likely to do roughly 13, not the expected 10 damage, this is important with energy weapons, anyone with a heavy energy meka will want to get as close as possible to their target for max damage.

i generally find several hundred blanks a day, several hundred Buche de noel, several lots of Gift Boxes, and a handful of Old blue boxes; enough that i cant keep up vending, so what im thinking is i can sell these items at discount to guildies to help them gain financial stability; my current vend prices are:

Buche de noel; 38,000 ea
Old Blue Box; 220,000 ea
Gift Box; 72,000 ea

i will offer these items to the guild for resale/use as you please at a cheaper price, on the condition that you promise not to try and compete with my price but to vend for the same as me, making it fair, and not forcing down the market price of any of these items, the prices I'm thinking for guildies are:

Old Blue Box; 180,000 ea
