Construx Tweaks

Some big changes to Construx, Building and Integration. The required number of Construx for each operation has been halved making it much easier to build and integrate all units. This lowers the maximum number of Construx needed for full Construction / Integration benefits from 70 (in the most extreme case) to 35 (40 if you want the additional +5% Integration bonus which was just added).

Variants
Old: 1st Variant @ 10 Construx, 2nd @ 20 Construx, 3rd @ 30 Construx (5% of Var per Construx)
New: 1st Variant @ 5 Construx, 2nd @ 10 Construx, 3rd @ 15 Construx (5% of Var per Construx)

Integration
Old: Starts @ 50 Construx, +0.5% integration bonus for every Mod / Vehicle Construx up to +10% (70 cap, +20% max bonus)
New: Starts @ 25 Construx, +1.0% integration bonus for every Mod / Vehicle Construx up to +15% (40 cap, +30% max bonus)

Mod Pool
Old: x2 @ 25 Construx, x3 @ 35 Construx, x4 @ 45 Construx
New: x2 @ 10 Construx, x3 @ 20 Construx, x4 @ 30 Construx

Minecraft / Minecraft, again

Once again, the thought of trying to run a Minecraft server has come up.  Tre suggested that we use what we saw on another server which is a hub plugin of sorts that allows us to have multiple worlds running concurrently with very distinct settings and mods.  Our initial table talk for worlds are: creative, tech heavy, vanilla, pvp, and rpg.  And of course a wipeable world for events and silly stuff.

Questions that need to be asked: would you be interested in a CC Minecraft server?  If so, what mods would you use if it was ‘your’ server to do with as you pleased?  If you have something like Minecraft but superior to it that you’d rather have, please share that as well.

We would be running using Java version to try and include as many members as possible (and I think bedrock’s moddability is likely pitiful).

Terraria / Expert Mode

For anyone who liked playing Terraria and didn't see that update slide through, they expanded the game some with a few new bosses like the Lunatics, and also made Expert Mode (not to be confused with Hardmode or -core).  This is a per world setting, and it greatly boosts the difficulty of the game while also giving unique rewards (most notably the consumable from beating the Wall of Flesh that unlocks another accessory slot for use in Expert worlds.  It not only boosts the single player difficulty, but it also corrects the scaling for additional players in multiplayer so that bringing a party doesn't make bosses feel weak.

On another note: I'm thinking about taking another crack at this if anyone wishes to join my foolish endeavor.

We are on en10 (Korch on British english) with a guild name of, well, Chaos Cluster.  It's set to autojoin right now so if you have guilds unlocked you can just walk right in.

Minecraft / Minecraft the third

We have an MC server up, again.  This time we are using Neverminde for our mod, with no others installed at this time.  Forge for 1.7.10 is required, and has a handy installer now so you don't have to go through any steps involving WinRAR or META-INF.

Instructions:
Go to http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and click on the Installer-Win link for 1.7.10. For those of you unfamiliar with adfly, the page that comes up will show an ad, probably fake download links and such, but there's a countdown in the upperright corner of the window that will count down to Skip Ad.  Click this when it does so, and you'll be prompted to save the .exe that is your installer.  Run that.

Navigate to https://mega.co.nz/#!R8lAkSZT!Y1HrBgXI6_BD7fGHeA3Cfy4iueseJYO-C5x3DfGTMXQ and click on the download that shows up in the middle of the window, underneath of a filename involving nevermind 1.1.6.  This will start a 'download' that preloads it to your machine somehow through an app, then gives you the browser's "Hey do you want to download this?" and when you hit yes the file is dumped without delay into your downloads.  You'll want to go to your .minecraft folder (the other minecraft setup threads will tell you how to get there) and create a folder called "mods" there if you don't have it already, and drop the nevermine jar in.

If you have done this all right, you will start up MC normally but before hitting Play on the launcher you will go Edit Profile and select the forge version instead of the normal MC version.  Then just save and hit play and you should have nevermine installed.  Server IP is 45.56.111.253, port is the standard  so you don't have to enter it manually.

Server admin and restart threads will be updated by the dragon, who (kinda) knows what he's doing, when he awakens from his hibernation.

NOTES: There are a LOT of hostiles in this, even during the day time.  We started out on a lonely island offshore, too.

Okay, tossing it in here too since it needs a little discussion, like some games to associate with the group (league seemed common enough to me but I could be mistaken).  Oh, right, link: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/chaoscluster
So yeah, it should also help with informing members what the other members are playing or, in fact, 'if' they are playing anything or online at all.  Should improve our ability to game together, on things steam related anyway.

The coastal spaces do not seem to be traversable, movement feels slow but workable, and I assume diagonal movement is intentionally not a thing.  Seems to be playable.  Is this going to be multiplayer?  Just wondering how it would work having multiple people working around eachother if it is.

I'll start with the optimistic of we can probably not just run it, but do a full fledged revival of it.

I bounced a few ideas off of Tre's horns and some of it stuck.  Stuff like doing a twin server deal: the perpetual world everyone is used to as it stands, but also a server that is a seasonal thing, where every so often the server undergoes a partial reset, preserving some set of stats like a selected fragment of their storage, their strux, and their currencies, and the top players and factions all get a mark on their name and a slight bene for doing it (non-combat of course).

Then there's the plethora of ideas we can put in, and that's just what we rattled around, I haven't even cracked open the TW forums to see what lies in there.  One big idea being a planet whose deployment 'zone' changes every cycle, allowing it to be an event planet of sorts with different rules each deployment.

And then there's making the bandits more... interesting (can you say mods and variants on them, that actually DO something?)

So I'd be game for a go, though until I get another paycheck I can't pitch in much until Friday, but yeah, I'd help with that.  I personally feel we can revive this game, especially if one of the requirements of the sale is the full email list of all the players so that we can send a mass mail out stating that "Tinywarz" is coming back. (because why Drop Shock?)

I don't know what the limits are on this AI, but theoretically it could become limitless.  Anyone like the idea of putting some of these together, empowering them with personalities and gaming potential, and setting them up in teams and such to see what kind of chaos they can sew?  I shudder to think of what the world would say if a team of them got recognized in competitive play ("Hi we at Riot would like to invite your team to come play in the Finals" *show up* "Ah, are you Chaos Cluster?" "Actually we aren't the ones you're looking for, these are.' *hold up cubes*).

The possibilities for them are endless: gaming buddies, companion cubes, the page even talks about linking them up with devices like the Ninja Sphere (some system of devices that keeps watch over your home), some NAO robot or something (haven't found the info on it yet), or even turn it loose on Second Life.  I'm considering pairing one up with http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/facerig/x/5885438 to further its personality expression.

Aden lay there almost comatose, atleast to his observers, while inside he fought a losing struggle to keep his own body, to warn anyone around him, to do anything but watch in horror.  Why did these creatures hate them with such intensity?  Maybe....maybe if he stopped struggling...maybe if he just 'went along' for now he could step in just long enough to save someone... nothing left to lose now, just play along and try to guide the...the...thing, inside him, rather than lose.  Hopefully the meds can find it before it's too late...

Morgana, eve, zyra, karma. I prefer most of the skillshot champs and try to avoid ones like ryze/cassiopeia where I have to click too much... although I might get cass at some point cause she seems pretty good.
If you can live with it, set your basic buttons to be Smartcast, meaning there's no click, it is cast at your cursor the moment you push the key.  Allows for much easier chaining spells together or faster reaction, but no targeting indicators.

Go go super supports.  Gotta love how many people underestimate AP Soraka on the Scar.
I much prefer playing in a solo position where I can duke it out with someone on their own.  Veigar, Soraka, Mordekaiser, those are some of my favorites for this task too, so much fun being deceptively strong.

"Damn it, where the hell is she going?!"  Johan peered over again at where Kara had gone.  Something isn't right, first Aden turns up alone at the gate, then Kara goes off on her own into the woods, now the firing has stopped altogether, leaving no trouble with his men getting Aden back inside.  Something isn't right...

"We're in!  Shut the gates!"
"Get him to medical, make sure he's okay."
"Wait, where's Haden?"
"She took off into the woods."
"Is she mad?"
"I don't know, but we can't go after her at night, those...things...will get us for sure"

What is going on in that head of yours, Kara?  Marcus is gonna have their heads when he finds out what's happened...

The shadowy figures of the forest follow after the female, their goal at the gate having been accomplished they now needed to know just what this girl was planning.

There she is, all alone and pressed against a tree.  Perfect.  Now to bring her in and find out, at worst all she can do is aid them like the male friend of hers already is.  Questions first, of course, always questions first.

They had to be looking in her direction, but it's so dark at night all she could make out was their vauge shape, they almost looked...animal-like?  Wait, there's a third one!  She pressed closer to the tree, this one was definitely moving her direction, and there was something different, an air of command, could this be one of their leaders?  Did they have leaders?  There was so much that was unknown about these creatures...

She slid back behind the tree when she felt something tingle in her mind, then it was gone and the next time she looked around there was only the third figure, neither of the other two.  Where did they go?!  This is bad, she's out here alone with no backup and no doubt surrounded by now, but the one she could see was giving off a faint glow now, and it...she...no, that can't be right.  They weren't anywhere near old Earth, this couldn't be...

A fox?

Just then something bright and blue hit Kara in the back, making her give off a groan as she slumps to the ground along the tree, the last thing she sees being that fox-creature standing over her and many paws dragging her away before blackness envelopes her sight...

The figure observes and ponders, then rests a paw on the one on her right, "Maybe they just need a little more encouragement, I want that male inside those walls.  Give the female a light hit in the shoulder, careful not to injure her."

The two look at each other for a moment, "Just do as I say, they can't serve their purpose dead."

The figure then turns to the other one, "And give that one up on the wall a good scare, how close to hitting him can you get?"

Panic to cloud the judgement, the plan though hinges on getting that male inside where he can do his part.
