Sheesh. I don't think the amount of data this thing is built to store even physically exists. The ENTIRE internet as of 7 years ago was ~1/2,000,000th of that size (Source: http://www2.sims.berkeley.edu/research/projects/how-much-info-2003/internet.htm, and I can't imagine it's grown more than 10-fold since then.

(For those not from the US, the 4th amendment is the one that says the police can't search your stuff without a valid reason and a search warrant, and the warrant has to be presented to you before they do the search.)

That staff... is awesome.

Staff of the Woodfire

This is a chefstaff whittled from the wood of the Underworld Tree, capped with the malevolent everburning coal that served as its black, merciless heart. Sure, it's evil, but look on the bright side -- you could cook a pizza just by waving this thing at it!

    Type: weapon (1-handed chefstaff)
    Power: 10
    Mysticality Required: 150
    Cannot be discarded

    Enchantment:
    +10 Mysticality Stat(s) Per Fight
    Spell Damage +100%
    Regenerate 5-15 MP per adventure

Additionally, in combat, you get a "jiggle your staff" button that you can use once per combat, which does around 15 damage each with 3 different elements.

The SMF guys (the people who made the forum software) are weird like that. Even the source code is full of silly comments. :)

The moon is indeed made of cheese, and it's not very well preserved. You can smell it from Earth.

I wish no one went hungry. (resist the obvious "ok, everyone's dead" response :P)

There aren't actually a lot of great job xp targets... job 67 is the most common level to be at when you first hit 99 trans, and those last 3 JLs can take quite a while. I'm not terribly worried about that though, as I'll just max my guild tax when I hit 99. (Guild taxes only affect base xp, so I should be able to get us a few guild levels for basically free.)

That being said, the necromancers for this quest ARE in fact, a good jxp target, at 45k base and 35k job. (You need over 300 mil for the final base level, but only over 200 mil for the final job, so that's relatively speaking, actually more job than bass.)

The min level is 80, because you have to do a long-ass quest to get in there, and that's the level for the final part of the line.

It's like the ice dungeon one, but it's necromancers, which are worth ~6 times the xp!

The only problem is getting a group for it - you can't just camp down there like you can in ID - you'll die in about 3 seconds.

We should try to get runs going...

I'm still stuck in HC, but once I get through that, sure, I can jump in with HC oxy gear... which hopefully actually helps. I have no idea how hobopolis works yet.

Could work... the main thing with that sort of game is make sure there's a victory condition, so it doesn't turn into the hell that late game Tribal Wars is.

Good call on that one, GPH. I might not have even noticed that one. I did a fair amount of killing stuff with El Juan, but Bad Moon me will probably hold off on stuff that will otherwise kill me too quickly. Either way, I'm sure to have plenty of spooky bark sitting around before this is all over.

Tyred

I had no problem with the boss, and I'm in HC, so my gear is crap as well. I think I actually 1 shotted him, but he got a hit in because I did around 95% of the damage and my familiar finished him. The hit I took was single digit damage. I was Chock Full O' Nanites though and have Tao of the Terrapin, so I have no idea what his real damage should've been. I don't think it's anything too ridiculous though - as long as you have one good attack skill, you should be able to just plow through him.
