So uh, I made up a concept of the Chaos Cluster homepage to match the forum using colors from both the forum and the current homepage. Just a simplified layout using the content of the current homepage as a reference for the links and content. Maybe the logo discussion could be brought up again (http://forums.chaoscluster.com/index.php?topic=108.0) and it could be incorporated into the header instead of the current header text.
Just wondering what you guys think about the layout and what should be changed/added (was gonna put the image here but it's kinda big so linked it instead):

Can you simplify "Welcome to the Chaos Cluster Site!" to just "Chaos Cluster"? It feels cluttered to have that as a whole sentence. :U
Also, I think our upcoming Wiki should be called "CC Wiki" instead of "Chaos Wiki," since it might get mistaken for another Wiki in the future if we keep it as "Chaos Wiki."

Gotcha. Made the changes.

Did a mockup for the account registration page

The TOS scroll box should be between the notes and the captcha. And the checkboxes should be either on top or below the captcha before you hit the registration button.
Basically make it look more like a contract since that's what it basically is. :p

Tweaked around the left box a bit more. http://i.imgur.com/3tceQvm.jpg
If you meant having all the content in a single wide box, it would make the line length of the text longer, which would make readability of the text harder on the eyes, so that's why I did two seperate sections like that. It gets rather tiring on the eyes if you read a lot of text that has line lengths that are the width of the page (I've seen enough rough drafts of contracts like that from classmates before and it was not pleasant to read through @___@).

You can just shrink the width of the whole thing to 800px instead of expanding it the full width of the screen. That's how a lot of registration pages do it. There's no need to have it width=100%.

I'll make another mockup of it with 800 px width to see how it looks

Looks pretty good to me, nice and simple.
