Title: Never again (until the next time...)

You're entitled to the "Duke of Disco" Trophy, for achieving level 30 as a Disco Bandit

Dear lord this trophy took forever <_<

...I may have gone a bit overboard trying to hurry things along -

:P

I still can't ascend though because I'm still only midway through eating all the black puddings I need and I'm close to another goal as well :\

I don't think I'll be going for another level 30 trophy for a long time though...

Turns Played (total):   49,126
Turns Played (this run):   31,125

I need to get some more skills permed before I even think of doing so :P

Nice!

I'm going for that one and basementing now. I hate, and I mean HATE the level twelve quest (and most of eleven), so I'm going to just level for a little while and enjoy myself.

13 levels to go...

You reminded me the basement exists :P

Whoo level 112! I'm getting to the point where I need to buff/equip for each one now though :( Is there a cheap way to refill MP? Thats the one thats hurting me most :\ Darn my non-access to the magi guild :P

I just hit level 100 this afternoon.

As for MP, that test sucks hard, especially if you are not mysticality. However, the best ways to get MP are probably the battlefield drops (carbonated soy milk) or the bottles that drop in the bathroom. If you've got the cash, load up on a bunch of those.

The problem is that the basement is really cost-prohibitive. There's not much point in actually getting down through it unless you really want to. I want to get my piece of the telescope because I really don't want to ascend just yet and I want my trophy! I'll probably break up some of that with clan basement stuff too, since I'm only doing maybe 20 basement levels a day. There's a crapload of stuff to do down there, but it is a pain to keep everything up...

So far the MP tests are definately the hardest...Jumbo Dr Lucifers solved my refueling problems but simply reaching the required maximum amount of MP is difficult for my poor Disco Bandit. People with more permed skills or a mys class would be finding this much easier :P

Should be finishing the basement tomorrow. Then watch out for another achievement in a few days time :) then the only thing keeping me in this ascension will be trying to finish this damn black pudding trophy <_< Still...will give me time for another hobopolis run or two :P

Edit - Aaaaaand 500. Damn MP tests though <_< For those of you interested below are some of the more interesting figures:

I had to buff my mys of 669 up to 9114 in order to pass an MP test requiring 10,250 :\

The highest damage I was threatened with was over 40k one time when I accidently had the wrong elemental phial up :P

The highest I got my elemental resistance was Sleaze at Extremely Staggeringly High which equates to 89.7%

And I wasn't using a stat gain familiar or anything but these were the stats I was getting from the monsters at the end:

You gain 913 Strengthliness.
You gain 747 Enchantedness.
You gain 1523 Cheek.

Gotta love last minute orders :p But I'm back and we hopefully be back to my old active self again. Congrats again, guess i won't be beating you to 30 this time round :p

You acquire an item: Discount Telescope Warehouse gift certificate

Beat the basement today. Took me long enough. KOLMafia helped a TON. Also, hoarding roasted marshmallows from Dependence Day is a genius idea if you have enough time to waste just banking those. +500% of everything is worth it in my book.

Rock!

Congratulations on beating Hobopolis!  Trerro and I were just talking about trying to organize an expedition down there once we get higher-leveled and possibly better geared, although I believe he has his Plexiglass set, so the better geared part may just be something I need to take care of for myself.

Speaking of trophies, I'm currently working on "The Best Meal of My Life" trophy.  I know it doesn't begin to compare to a level 30 anything, but I'm only level 9 at this time, and taking my time with the game.

am i the only one who hasn't tried to beat the basement yet (: congrats, i doubt that i have the patience to muscle through fernswarthy's :p

@Skeeter - if you can get your moxie over 300 or so you'll have no problem exploring hoboworld, sauceror potions are pretty cheap and should be able to help out until you get some of the nice hobo loot. (i.e. serum of sarcasm - moxie +100%) I also recommend trying out the slime tube. just remember to wipe the slime effect off after a few turns, or it will hit so hard that it will do thousands of point of damage :-p

speaking of hobopolis, i need to know who wants what drop :-p i'm not going to be the one to decide who gets the beard. Or we could try and sell it, but i'm not sure if hobopolis works the same way as the tube when it comes to selling loot.

If whoever was on that run doesn't claim their crap, I suggest just pulling out a d20 and letting the die decide.

I'm don't mind losing out on the beard seeing as I was the one who couldn't be bothered to close Hobopolis and do another run :P

I also need every else thats on waiting to be distributed. Don't know what Tyred needs though so if you see this Tyred, just choose two and assign the other two to me :P

I don't need the beard. I'm not adventure happy like the rest of you. Give it to GPH (who is a n00b in RONIN right now).

The only thing I want is the Hodg pants, because I do not need any more resistance modifiers I can beat the basement with what I have.
