Title: Text Box Problems
Post by: Galeesa on March 12, 2010, 11:51:59 pm
It's not really a major problem as most posts/replies do not fill the entire text box. However, for those posts/replies that fill the entire box and causes the scroll bar to appear, it will continually scroll to the top of the box with every keystroke. It makes it rather complicated to ensure that what you are typing in grammatically correct or spelled right :P I'm running IE version 8.0.6001.18882. Not entirely sure if anyone else has had this problem, but it has happened to me multiple times. If you have any questions or can't replicated this, shoot me a pm :) Thanks

Hmm... I just tried it with IE8 (albeit the xp64 version), and it worked fine. Is anyone else getting this issue?

Are you sure it's IE itself, and not a miscellaneous plugin or utility program you have installed?

now that i'm trying to replicate it here after bringing it up... i can't get it to work anymore <_< i don't run any plugins to my knowledge.

Edit:
hah! i just got it to replicate, but i was mistaken about it scrolling back to the top... it scrolls up just enough to hide the bottom line. And i had to "modify" the post to get it. And now that i think about it, every time i had it happen to me was when i was editting a post.

Hmm... I do see the scroll bar snap down for a second, but it doesn't actually scroll, and it immediately snaps back. It sounds like this *was* a bug, but MS fixed it. Can you run windows update and see if it still does it for you?
