Kingdom of Loathing / Meat farm
« on: August 28, 2011, 09:04:56 pm »
I (finally) got my meat farming multi up and running :)

The plan for the multi was mostly to run it during holiday events and when I feel like it to earn meat for running hobopolis and the slime hole. To celebrate I just donated 3 million meat to the clan store :)

Also my plan was to never ascend again with this mutli and they're set as an accordion thief so I'll probably try to get copies of all the accordion thief buffs so if you ever want one send over a pm (or just use a buff bot and I'll carry on farming meat :P)

(on the note of anti-death generators - has anyone else been watching Torchwood?)

I'm...not really sure that wish needs corrupting. Someones spams you with cheeseburgers :P But in the interests of being thorough :P

Every morning when you wake up someone has put a cheese burger under your pillow and its smeared all over your bed. They've stuffed one through your letter box and they hide them under the cushions in your sofa. You find them in bags and no matter what food you order at a restaurant, they serve you a cheeseburger. This leads to you smelling of rotting cheeseburger so everyone stops hanging out with you. Plus you get chronic stomache problems and spots from only eating cheese burgers.

Eventually you die of vitamin deficiencies, obese and alone, 5 years from now. Only one person comes to your funeral. They leave a cheese burger on your grave.

I wish I had the ability to change my shape at will.

Kingdom of Loathing / Travelling Trader

How is it that I always manage to not notice when the travelling trader comes into town :P

Is there anything else that you guys always miss or always forget?

Simple - you experience massive liver failure. Your body will now be completely unable to process the alcohol out of your system and once you're drunk, you'll stay drunk.

Side effects may include death.

I wish I had the ability to rewind and fastforward time at will.

You're the first to test out a brand new piece of technology. They have figured out how to download skills and abilities, copy them and upload them into other people.

As a test they try to improve your drawing abilities. Unfortunately they haven't tweaked the settings quite right. You become one of the most brilliant artists mankind has ever know. Unfortunately you forget how to walk, speak, read, write and eat under your own power. Those areas of your brain have been permently damaged and those skills can never be regained.

I wish I had the patience to become a master in some skill (ie playing the piano, throwing cards, magic tricks etc)

You immediately lapse into a deep dreamless sleep that lasts until you're 84. On your 84th birthday you wake up to have your family explain to you that the cost of supporting you and the medical care keeping you alive these past years has bankrupt the family and the stress has caused several suicides among those you love. The shock of this revelation causes you to have a heart attack which kills you.

But at least you're well rested :D

I wish I was good with a frisbee

Humans become strictly nocturnal. Unfortunately in many parts of the world this leads to massive starvation as they cannot see well enough to farm and hunt properly. In more developed countries the spiralling cost of the energy demands of constantly lighting throughout the entire infrastructure of our society proves to be the final push that sends us into an economic meltdown from which we cannot recover.

Also, for some reason the tv schedules don't change so everyone is stuck watching the least interesting and inane tv shows :D

I wish I could speak any language I wanted.

Runecraft is a multiplayer mod...so unless I'm misinterpreting is in fact multiplayer only? They're certainly using it in multiplayer in some of the tutorial videos.

No idea for the others :)

Your worst enemy finds our your most preciously guarded secret. You are blackmailed into going out with the ugliest, most spiteful and hateful girl you can find. Congrats buddy, you've got a girlfriend! :D

I wish if we had to have riots they could at least be about something worthwhile rather than just a load of people looting <_<

Sky lights capped with glass and torches are your friends :)

Or for the more insane, just cover the top of a valley in glass and wall off each end :P Then put torches everywhere so nothing can spawn inside. Job done :)

Personally I prefer to find a small island to start on as you can immediately make that immune to most creeps just by making the walls too steep. Then bridges, underground and tunnels in the sea to secret exits on the mainland!

...minecraft is awesome

Yeah...I figured my shiny new computer would be able to run a minecraft server for me and brother to play on.

One overheating computer later and my brother keeps dropping through the scenery because it's not loading properly. Good times :P

And yes, I demand island fortresses and underground farms in minecraft! Mostly because if I EVER venture topside I get killed by creepers. I swear to god every single time <_<

To be honest I haven't really got involved in the modding aspect of minecraft at all so I'm happy to just go along with whatever everyone else wants so long as there's a list so I can look up whats what :P

I've been pretty busy recently but put an announcement up when you're ready to rock and roll and I'll get on when I can :)

Actually being a non-native english speaker you did pretty well. If you look at the blog section theres a bit where they discuss non-native english speakers.

Average was 7kish. The main difference seems to be with those people who have spent years abroad though. Just one year abroad ups the average to 9k and another 1-2k for each additional year. Point being I suppose that theres simply no need to know the definition of most words because they come up so infrequently, so you can be fluent in a language without needing loads of superfluous words :P
